With NASA's Spirit landed on Mars our collegues in the USA re-disigned their Mars web interfaces. And dispite all the politics they didn't forgot Europe's Mars Express:

ESA is now publishing the first pictures from Mars Express. The results look quit good and it is time to start brainstorming.
South of Valles Marineris at 15° South and 323° East
In the upper region ESA thinks it looks like a Karst region. I agree. The valleys can't be the result of extra-marsian impacts. Very easliy the ancient river beds can be seen (must be not rivers containing water!). Interesting is the crater on the upper right corner. There is as well a "river bed" around the inner crater walls. This is for sure not a result of the impacting meteor. So what is it?

The ESA webpage looks a little bit chaotical. Two homepages for Europes Mars Express:

An additional Beagle 2 homepage makes the information desaster complete. People: Your ambitions are good but why three pages for one mission? Working together is nowadays important. Even if the managers tell You something different.
Anyway: Mars Express is in a stable Martian orbit. It looks like that the probe can start the scientific programm soon.
