Now it seems that
ITER, the international experimental fusion reactor, is getting reality. The last big discussion is finished, means Japanese will do again highly advanced whaling research while in France scientists will play with the fire of the sun. After 50 years building very useful fusion devices like the H-Bomb it looks like that nuclear scientists are finally doing something really useful for mankind. Very nice:
The construction plan for ITER (pdf). Hey guys: In 50 years the nice
First Fire Cigar will be gone. When we have to smoke the
First Plasma Cheerot if we're still allowed to do so. As well there will be no
Flame On in the radios anymore. When we have to say
Plasma On. Commissioning's changing.
