Trying to buy software from Adobe via the homepage is impossible. I grinded a little bit today when I read the c't documentation about the Swiss guy who was not able to buy an organizer from Palm One. And now: I wanted to buy the Adobe Photoshop Album software. The trial version was quit good and I wanted the full version. So I started to fill my shopping cart and then I wanted to check out. Buying software online from Adobe requires to log in with the Adobe ID. I have such an ID because I activated my Adobe Reader to buy digital book editions. It seems that I filled in Switzerland as my home country (which was correct at that time). Now the Adobe On-Line Shop said to me, I'm not allowed to buy software in Germany because I'm registered in Switzerland. Okay, I thought, let's change the country to Germany which would be correct now. It was not possible at all. It was easy to change names, addresses and billing informations but the country - no chance. It seems, that the Adobe staff want to top the SVP party with their border shit. It was getting later and later and finally I saw no possibility to finish the download of the 150MB via ISDN before I go for a nap. So fuck it! I've done the work now without the Adobe software. It worked as well. As a bonus I saved 60 bugs. Sorry Adobe but is this the way to make money with software? Creating borders in the net? I can't understand You guys. Fact is, I can't buy stuff in Your shop and I will not create a new email address only for doing it. Think about that!
