Train riding in the U.K.
is maybe sometimes a bad idea. On last Saturday it was definitily not advisable. There must be a football match in Liverpool. The hourly Virgin train leaving Runcorn for the city was crowded like waggons on the east railway net in Tai Wan through the weekend. For luck the ride back was much better. It is for sure better to make a reservation in advance (3 hours before – no additional fair) and be sure to have a seat. The system looked quit reliable. But the door mechanism was interesting. To getting out of the train, first the window must be opened after the sign is indicating that the door is unlocked. Then the rest must be done with the outside lock. Funny! The Germans don't know really what superior train system they have. Hopefully they will recognise it before it is bankrupt.
